This is big. Pay attention:
85 % of purchases are determined by women
Groceries – You bet! Dog food – who else cares about the dog’s nutrition? Christmas, Halloween and Easter candy? I rest my case.
Movies – Why go to the movies or rent a movie if women don’t want to see it?
Financial services – Where to bank? Life insurance – you bet she wants a policy to protect her.
Books – Who else reads? For knowledge or pleasure? Stationery? Who else writes the sympathy notes, holidays cards, birthday cards. Who shops for the gifts? Or sends the flowers?
Cars – Of course. If you want her to actually drive it.
Appliances – Women use them the most. From vacuums to power tools to coffee machines.
Education – Where do the kids go to school? How to pay for college? This is what women worry about.
Home maintenance – roofing, housekeeping, lawn care, gardening, chimney sweeps, leaky faucets, oil delivery.
Child Rearing – Who else would select the best baby sitter? Find the best day care, the best diapers, the best pediatrician? Kiss the skinned knee? Piano lessons? Dance lessons? Who takes photographs of every life stage, life event and everyday happenings – and saves them?
Halloween – Who would make the costume – with joy?
School and Little league – Who would make the cupcakes and Rice Krispy Treats? Who would make sure the ingredients are always on hand?
Healthcare – Who else takes charge? Finds the best medical services, the best health care insurance, picks up at the pharmacy? Who buys the Band-Aids and cough syrup?
Cobblers, dry cleaners, magazine subscriptions, clothing, furniture, auto insurance, baby sitters, auto repair and most everything – women make the selection, choose the vendor, make the decision, pay the bills.
Services – pool boys, landscapers, snow plow services, pest control, pizza delivery, nursing homes, assisted living, …
Tech toys and tools – betcha! Well, maybe not BBQ grills. But $90 billion of other things.
Homes, vacation places, boats and luxury items – if the girls don’t want them – they don’t happen.
