His eyes were clear, huge and beautiful. His fur was soft but with a bit of coarseness when rubbed the wrong way. The limbs thin and graceful and very muscular. His ears were soft and clean. He had a few hairs on his chin. He died quickly, within 30 seconds of being shot with a bow and arrow.
He weighed 225 pounds, had a 6 point rack. And he was not the biggest buck in the neighborhood.
I stroked his snout, ears and limbs, with affection and appreciation. And I checked him for ticks and found none.
